Neglecting the small business sector, as is currently occurring, creates a ripple effect throughout the economy, though the impact is often recognised too late. The government's disregard for the sector’s needs not only jeopardises the survival of small businesses and entrepreneurs but also undermines the broader economy, leaving us a less resilient and competitive nation.
...Entrepreneurs drive innovation and growth, adapt to market changes, and craft creative solutions to industry challenges. Initiatives like Boosting Female Founders have played a crucial role in nurturing this entrepreneurial spirit. As a mentor in this program, I witnessed its incredible impact firsthand. However, despite its success, the current Labor government abruptly terminated the program without a clear or reasonable explanation.
To ensure Australia remains a land of opportunity, it’s crucial that we recognise the importance of small businesses and prioritise them through continuous support and investment—not merely as a talking point in election campaigns.
